Policy setting: Determine properties from remote devices by connecting to a server

Determines whether deviceTRUST will attempt to connect to the remote device using a server.

  • When ENABLED, deviceTRUST will attempt to connect to the remote device using the Virtual Channel, but also to devices registered on a server. This provides support for non virtual-channel clients, such as iOS. To enable this property, an Api Key must be supplied, and can be obtained from the deviceTRUST Portal.

  • When DISABLED, deviceTRUST will only attempt to connect to the remote device using the Virtual Channel.

The default behavior is disabled.
